purchased for use, not resale, from ORECK or an ORECK Authorized  
Retail Dealer.)

This appliance must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break  
down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current  
to reduce the risk of electric shock. This appliance is equipped with a  
cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug.  
The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly  
installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and  
ordinances.  
ORECK will repair or replace, free of charge, to the original purchaser,  
any part which is found to be defective in material or workmanship  
within one (1) year, (5 year motor) of the date of original purchase.  
PAD DRIVER, CARPET BONNET, LAMBS WOOL BONNET,  
BRUSHES, PADS and other parts subject to normal wear are not  
covered by this limited warranty.

Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in  
a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service  
person if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.  
Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance - if it will not fit the  
outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.  
This limited warranty does not apply to any part subjected to accident,  
abuse, or alteration, misuse, damage caused by fire or act of God, the  
use of voltages other than indicated on the serial number plate of this  
product or service of this product by other than ORECK or an ORECK  
Factory Authorized Service Center.  
This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a  
grounded plug that looks like the plug illustrated in sketch A. A temporary  
adapter that looks like the adapter illustrated in sketch B may be used  
to connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle if a properly grounded outlet  
is not available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a  
properly grounded outlet can be installed by a qualified electrician. The  
green colored rigid ear, lug, or the like extending from the adapter must  
be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded  
outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held in place  
by a metal screw.  
ORECK does not authorize any person or representative to assume or  
grant any other warranty obligation with the sale of this product.  
ORECK’S limited warranty is valid only if you retain proof of purchase  
from ORECK or an ORECK Authorized Retail Dealer for this product. If  
you purchase this product from any other source, your purchase is “AS  
IS,” which means ORECK grants you no warranty, and that you, not  
ORECK, assume the entire risk of the quality and performance of this  
product, including the entire cost of any necessary servicing or repairs  
of any defects.  
ORECK’S liability for damages to you for any costs whatsoever arising  
out of this statement of limited warranty shall be limited to the amount  
paid for this product at the time of original purchase, and ORECK shall  
not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental  
damages arising out of the use or inability to use this product.  
NOTE: In Canada, the use of a temporary adapter is not permitted by  
the Canadian Electrical Code.

consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not  
apply to you.

To Guide the Machine  
Operating Instructions  
Hold the handle with both hands and push with the palms of your hands  
to move in the forward direction, then cup your hands and pull to bring  
back. The design of the machine eliminates the fatigue associated with  
controlling other floor machines.  
WARNING: Unplug cord from electrical  
outlet before servicing and when leaving  
unattended.  
Care of your Oreck Low Boy Floor Machine  
This is a precision machine. Dropping, unreasonable bumping or rough  
handling may result in damage. Remove brushes after use. The bristles  
may be damaged due to the weight of the machine. Store your machine  
in the upright position. After each use, remove wax or cleaning  
solutions. After sanding, blow sawdust off motor and locking  
mechanism.  
To Operate:  
IMPORTANT - Always wear shoes  
when using your Low Boy.  
Raise the handle pin release with foot.  
Lubrication: With the handle in its  
lowest position, periodically place one  
drop of oil (3-in-One) on the thrust  
bearings.  
Lean handle back. While handle is  
released and with both hands on  
handle grips, squeeze the ON/OFF  
lever located on the right grip to turn  
on.

To Attach the Drive Pad Holder or Brush:

Lay the machine on its back to reveal  
the bottom pan. Align the indentations  
in the pad holder with the brackets  
around the bottom pan. Place your  
hands on opposite sides of the pad  
holder and using the heel of your  
hands, push the pad holder onto the  
pan.  
Not plugged in

Be sure cleaner is  
firmly plugged into  
wall outlet.  
FLOOR MACHINE

To Attach the Pad:

the handle lying on the floor to reveal  
the brush holder pan. Place the pad  
over the round brush holder pan  
making sure it is in place.

machine by placing it on the floor and  
moving the running machine over it, or  
placing the machine over the pad and  
then starting the motor.

number from data plate.
